External Sales Representative – Johannesburg

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven External Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting our product range within the (North and South Rand).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and increase market share.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Conduct regular sales visits to customer sites, present products, and provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Negotiate and close sales agreements with mutually beneficial terms.

  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and related documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfilment.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company and its products.

  • Continuously develop product knowledge and stay informed about the latest market advancements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven experience in external sales (preferably within the FMCG industry).

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Excellent relationship-building and client management skills.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant sales tools.

  • Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
