We are seeking an experienced and proactive Shift Supervisor to oversee off site video security monitoring operations. The Shift Supervisor will manage a team of Video Security Controllers, ensuring smooth shift hand overs, adherence to monitoring protocols, accurate reporting, and rapid escalation of security incidents.

The ideal candidate will have prior control room or security supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead under pressure.

• Supervise and manage a team of Off site Video Security Controllers during assigned shifts.
• Ensure monitoring protocols and escalation procedures are strictly followed.
• Conduct real-time support for controllers handling critical security incidents.
• Perform shift hand overs with detailed reporting on ongoing issues, incidents, and system status.
• Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and enforce discipline when required.
• Escalate technical or operational issues to the Security Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with PSIRA and client-specific security requirements.
• Maintain incident logs, verify accuracy, and prepare shift summary reports for management.
• Schedule and coordinate breaks to ensure full monitoring coverage always.

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; additional supervisory/security certifications advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a security control room environment; at least 1 year in a supervisory/team leader role.

  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with CCTV monitoring platforms (e.g., Hik Central, Milestone, Avigilon); strong MS Office and incident reporting skills.
• Soft Skills: Leadership and team management abilities; strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills; excellent communication (verbal and written); ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure.
• Other: PSIRA Grade B or higher preferred; shift-based work (Day/Night shifts, weekends, and public holidays);
  Must be available for overtime if required.
