About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager Control Room Operations (10 to 15 years experience) to lead and oversee security operations at a contracted mining site in the Westrand of Gauteng nearby Randfontein & Westonaria. Reporting directly to site management, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the control room, compliance with PSIRA standards, and effective management of all security systems and personnel.

This is a site-based role suited to a seasoned security professional with proven control room management experience, strong leadership, and a proactive, solutions-driven approach. Your ability to balance operational oversight with stakeholder engagement and reporting is critical. (PSIRA Grade A registration, valid South African driver’s license, and SA citizenship is mandatory.)

What you’ll be doing

• Manage the daily operations of the control room, ensuring optimal performance and security monitoring
• Supervise and coordinate control room operators to enforce compliance with security protocols and procedures
• Monitor, manage, and optimize surveillance systems, including Hik Central and Cathexis
• Analyze security threats, alarms, and incidents, taking immediate and appropriate action in coordination with site security teams
• Act as a key liaison with Mine Management, representing the company in formal SRM (Stakeholder Relationship Management) reviews
• Develop and implement control room policies, procedures, and reporting structures
• Conduct training and refresher courses for control room staff on system operations and emergency response protocols
• Maintain accurate records and produce high-level reports and presentations on incidents, security breaches, and system performance
• Ensure all security equipment is operational, maintained, and regularly tested

What you’ll need

• PSIRA Registration (Grade
  
  A) – mandatory
• 10 to 15 years working experience in CCTV Industry
• Valid South African driver’s license and South African citizenship – mandatory
• Clear criminal record (verification required)
• Proven experience in a control room environment, preferably in mining or high-risk security
• Strong knowledge of security systems, including Hik Central and Cathexis
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and team management skills
• Strong presentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Ability to professionally represent the company in discussions with Mine Management and external stakeholders
• Technical understanding of surveillance equipment, alarms, and access control technologies
• Capacity to perform under pressure and make critical security decisions in real-time

Preferred:

• Previous experience in mining security operations
• Additional certifications in security management or surveillance systems
• Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and conflict resolution
• Strategic thinking, proactive risk management, and strong communication/diplomacy skills
