Aviation Security Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced and vigilant Aviation Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at facilities in Randburg . This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, cargo, and assets within the aviation environment. You will lead a team of security personnel, implement security protocols, conduct patrols, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of aviation security regulations, and the ability to maintain a secure and orderly environment, contributing to the overall safety and operational integrity of the airport and related facilities.

• Supervise and manage a team of aviation security officers, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with national and international aviation security regulations.
• Conduct regular security patrols, inspections, and risk assessments of airport facilities, aircraft, and operational areas.
• Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to detect and prevent unauthorized access or security breaches.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with local law enforcement agencies, airport authorities, and other stakeholders on security matters.

• Proven experience in aviation security, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation security laws, regulations (e.g., ICAO, SACAA standards), and best practices.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in using security equipment, surveillance systems, and access control technologies.
• A clean criminal record and the ability to pass security background checks and obtain necessary clearances.
