Refrigeration And Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration & Electrical Technician to join our team.

will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing commercial refrigeration systems and electrical components of catering equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Repair, replace, and maintain refrigeration systems and catering equipment.
• Diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting, and test equipment for correct operation.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and electrical components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Examine parts for defects and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, and recommendations.
• Provide reports on diagnoses, repairs, and observations.
• Work standby and overtime as required.
• Ensure compliance with OHS procedures and safe handling of tools and equipment.

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Trade Test:
  Refrigeration or Electrical.
• 3–5 years' experience in refrigeration and electrical servicing of commercial / industrial equipment.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Technical proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Safety-conscious and compliant with regulations.

• Ability to work in hot / cold environments.
• Lift and handle equipment / tools safely.
• Work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
