AboutThe Role
Our client, a fast-growing and innovation-driven organisation within the digital financial services space, is seeking a Mid–Senior QA Engineer to strengthen their quality engineering capability.
The successful candidate will take ownership of API testing, automation framework development, and data-driven validation practices across core platforms. This role requires strong technical depth, a proactive mindset, and the ability to mentor junior team members while collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
This is a hands-on role suited to a QA professional who thrives in an Agile, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain both manual and automated test suites.
- Perform advanced API testing using Postman and SoapUI.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Implement and maintain data-driven testing strategies and reusable test datasets.
- Review technical requirements and provide early-stage quality input.
- Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of defects.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to quality gates.
- Support release readiness activities and ensure production quality standards are met.
- Mentor and support junior QA team members.
- Continuously improve QA standards, tooling, frameworks, and testing processes.
- 4+ years’ experience in software QA and/or test automation.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Postman, Playwright, and/or SoapUI.
- Solid understanding of API testing, including authentication, schema validation, and error handling.
- Proven experience implementing automation and data-driven testing approaches.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with test reporting dashboards and quality metrics.
- Exposure to performance and/or security testing.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum cross‑functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, delivery‑driven environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
