Senior Developer

Tax Consulting South Africa is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our growing technology team.

We are looking for a developer with strong software engineering capability and solid experience in C# and the Microsoft technology stack. Exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps) would be advantageous, or a demonstrated willingness to upskill in this area. This role is suited to someone who is confident in delivering high-quality software solutions and contributing to a fast-evolving digital environment.

As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions while helping build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years' software development experience
• Strong experience in C# and .NET development (.NET 8 / .NET 9/.NET 10)
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, building REST APIs and Blazor Web Assembly front ends
• Experience with SQL Server and relational databases, including Entity Framework Core
• Familiarity with clean architecture, CQRS (Mediat
  
  R), and the repository pattern
• Exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps) is advantageous; however, candidates with a willingness to learn will also be considered
• Strong understanding of software design principles and design patterns
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively

• Experience integrating with external/third-party systems (e.g. SOAP/WCF, webhooks, e-signature services)
• Experience with scheduled/background processing (e.g. )
• Experience generating typed API clients (e.g. NSwag / OpenAPI)
• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React
• Experience with Python for automation, integrations, scripting, or supporting business applications

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable software solutions using C# and .NET technologies
• Build and maintain web applications (Blazor), REST APIs, and backend services
• Support and enhance solutions within the Microsoft technology ecosystem
• Contribute to Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps) solutions where required
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
