AI Engineer

Contract: 6 to 12 months (negotiable based on project scope)
Working Model Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote per week Purpose Our client is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and optimise AI and Generative AI solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and enhanced customer experiences across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI and Generative AI applications and services.
• Build and integrate Large Language Model (LLM) solutions into enterprise applications.
• Develop prompts, AI workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Integrate AI services and APIs with enterprise platforms.
• Optimise AI model performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Solution Architects to deliver AI capabilities.
• Implement secure, responsible, and well-governed AI solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI engineering practices.

• 5+ years' experience in Software Engineering with AI development.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and OpenAI APIs.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with Lang Chain or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Expertise in Prompt Engineering.
• Experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Knowledge of Vector Databases.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
