The role requires a developer with strong front‑end development skills, backend development capability, good database understanding, and the ability to work within a complex business application environment. The candidate does not need prior Uni Verse Basic experience but must be willing to learn the environment and work across both modern and legacy technologies. The system is a loan and debtor management system.

The company is a very close knit team with a lovely culture and very low staff turnover.

• Relevant software development qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in front‑end development using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Angular.
• Backend development experience, preferably with Python.
• SQL or database querying experience.
• Experience working in a software development team environment.
• Ability to debug and resolve application issues.

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience working on business‑critical systems.
• Experience in financial services, loan finance, or enterprise application development.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git or SVN.
• Exposure to system integrations and APIs.

This role would suit a developer who is comfortable working across the full application stack and who enjoys solving business problems through technology. The candidate should be adaptable, curious, and willing to learn the loan and debtor management system and its supporting technologies.

Prior experience in Uni Verse Basic is not required,
but the candidate must be open to learning and supporting legacy components where necessary.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance front‑end functionality within the system.
• Build and maintain backend services, scripts, integrations, and business logic.
• Work with business analysts, developers, testers, support teams, and end users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve system issues across front‑end, backend, database, and integration layers.
• Assist with the modernisation and improvement of existing functionality.
• Work with APIs, data structures, files, and system integrations where required.
• Analyse business rules and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain clean, reliable, and supportable code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and documentation.
• Support production issues when required.
• Follow internal development, source control, and deployment processes.
