AWS Developer

Overview

This role will provide critical Development capability to re-platform Standard bank Collections system.

• AWS Lambda / Serverless Development (event-driven patterns, performance optimisation, IAM)
• Integration Engineering (SQS/SNS, resilience, orchestration)
• Dev Ops & Cloud Engineering (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment patterns)
• Security & Observability (IAM, logging, monitoring, tracing)

• Strong proficiency in Python is required for all roles, as it is the primary language for Lambda development and integration services.

• Minimum acceptable level: 3 (independent contributor)
• Senior roles requiring 4+ in core capabilities (API, Lambda, Python)

• Proven experience in production-grade for AWS serverless solutions
• Ability to design scalable, secure, event-driven architectures
• Strong engineering ownership and problem-solving capability

• Collection system (CACS) re-platform

This project is a replacement of credit on-prem Collection System with a cloud-based SaaS solution Debt Manager. The required Developer will help the team with developing the component required within Standard Bank to make this project a success. The end-to-end solution will include:

• Development in Python
