Integration Lead (IVA+ Platform

We are looking for an experienced Integration Lead to own the integration architecture and delivery across the IVA+ Platform. In this role, you will define integration patterns, govern service contracts, and ensure data moves securely, reliably, and at scale between internal services and external partner systems.

Working within a fast-paced, AI-assisted engineering environment, you will collaborate with engineering, platform, product, and delivery teams to design scalable integration solutions that support business growth while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and performance.

• Own the integration architecture, patterns, and standards across the platform ecosystem.
• Define and govern canonical data models and integration contracts between internal services and external systems.
• Lead the design and implementation of integrations with enterprise applications, including ERP systems, payment platforms, partner networks, and EDI solutions.
• Establish event-driven integration standards, including messaging, idempotency, retries, replay, dead-letter queues, and error handling.
• Drive the API strategy through contract-first design, OpenAPI standards, versioning, and governance.
• Ensure integration reliability, observability, security, scalability, and tenant isolation across all services.
• Deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment using AI-assisted engineering and modern development practices.
• Partner closely with engineering, platform, product, and delivery teams to manage priorities, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery risks.

• Proven experience in Integration Architecture or Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).
• Strong background in event-driven architecture and production experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka.
• Solid backend software engineering expertise.
• Hands-on experience integrating enterprise and third-party platforms, including ERP, payment, or similar business-critical systems.
• Deep understanding of messaging patterns, including, Idempotency, Saga patterns, Retry mechanisms, Dead-letter queues, Outbox pattern
• Experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Comfortable working at pace while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery quality and productivity.

The Reference Number for this position is NG61462 which is a Remote role in offering a salary of up to R1.8mil per annum salary negotiable based on experience.
