Senior .Net Developer

Location: Johannesburg – initially office-based five days per week, with plans to move to a hybrid model

Salary: R800,000 – R1.1 million per annum

Contract: Initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join a growing technology team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have at least five years of commercial software development experience and a strong background in building scalable, reliable applications using Microsoft technologies.

This role requires excellent technical ability, strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Design, develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and supporting backend services.
• Develop and optimise SQL databases, queries and stored procedures.
• Build and support cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Work with Docker and containerised application environments where required.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Produce clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Five or more years of professional .NET development experience.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core.
• Good experience designing, developing and integrating APIs.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience working with Azure cloud services or another cloud platform such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Johannesburg five days per week initially.
• Knowledge of Docker, containers or container orchestration.
• Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Previous experience working in Agile development teams.
