Development Team Lead (.NET​/ERP​/Telecoms

Our client is seeking an experienced Development Team Lead to join their Johannesburg-based team in a fully office-based role. This opportunity is ideal for a senior software professional with a strong ERP development background, extensive C# expertise, and proven leadership experience. You will play a key role in delivering robust enterprise solutions while mentoring developers and driving technical excellence.

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers through the full development lifecycle.
• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET 5+.
• Drive system architecture and technical design for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote software development best practices.
• Design, optimise and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure technical documentation remains accurate and up to date.
• Support CI/CD processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in .NET development.
• Strong C# and .NET Core/.NET 5+ expertise.
• Previous Team Lead or Senior Developer experience.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
• Experience with software architecture and systems design.
• Telecoms industry experience, particularly within FNO or MNO environments, is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of prepaid airtime systems and integrations will be beneficial.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, Azure Dev Ops or Jenkins is advantageous.
• Relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
