Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join their technology team in Sandton. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a senior software engineering professional who enjoys balancing hands‑on development with technical leadership, mentoring developers and delivering scalable enterprise solutions. Approximately 60–70% of the role focuses on leadership, with the remaining 30–40% dedicated to hands‑on development.

• Provide technical leadership to a team of software developers.
• Design and develop secure, scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications.
• Lead solution architecture, technical design and code review activities.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Drive software quality, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee CI/CD processes and software release management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical standards and innovation.
• Support the delivery of enterprise applications across long‑term or fast‑paced project environments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years' experience in software development.
• Expert Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines.

• Cloud experience with Azure and AWS.
• Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure as Code (YAML) experience.

• ReactJS, React Native or Type Script experience is advantageous.
