Creative Technologist Internship

As a Creative Technologist Intern at VML South Africa, you'll be a key player in bringing innovative ideas to life. You'll assist in researching emerging technologies, prototyping interactive experiences, and developing technology-driven campaigns, working closely with experienced technologists and creatives.

• Ideation & Conceptualization:
  Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of innovative concepts and technical solutions for client briefs
• Prototyping & Development:
  Assist in the creation of rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts using a variety of technologies (eg, web development, mobile development, AR/VR, IoT, interactive installations)
• Research & Exploration:
  Conduct research on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the creative technology space
• Technical Support:
  Provide technical support to the creative team, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to ensure the successful execution of projects
• Documentation:
  Create clear and concise documentation for projects, including technical specifications, user guides, and code comments
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  Assist in testing and debugging projects to ensure they meet quality standards
• Learning & Development:
  Actively seek opportunities to learn new technologies and skills, staying up to date with industry trends
• Presentation:
  Assist in preparing and presenting technical concepts and prototypes to internal teams and clients
• Assist with the creation of technical proposals:
  Support the team in drafting technical sections of proposals, outlining technical approaches, and estimating development effort

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media, or a related field
• A strong passion for technology and its application in creative advertising
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (eg, Python, Java, C++)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude
