AI Engineer; Generative AI, LangChain mil CTC

A leading consulting firm is looking for a highly motivated AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize intelligent solutions powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable AI applications, transform complex datasets into meaningful business insights, and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that address client challenges and create measurable value.

You will also be responsible for ensuring AI systems are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives throughout their lifecycle.

• Design, develop, train, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models.
• Build and maintain AI-powered applications, including natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, recommendation systems, and generative AI solutions.
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyse large datasets to support model development and optimisation.
• Perform feature engineering and data transformation to improve model performance.
• Deploy AI models into production environments using APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
• Monitor model performance, accuracy, and scalability, implementing retraining and optimisation strategies as required.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience building and deploying AI applications using Python and machine learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Keras.
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications using FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience deploying and managing AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git/Git Hub, and Linux-based environments.
• Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Reinforcement Learning will be advantageous

The Reference Number for this position is NG61191 which is a Permanent, Hybrid role in Johannesburg offering a salary of up to R1mil per annum salary negotiable based on experience.
