The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-gradeintegration solutions across the organization's application landscape. Thisrole provides technical leadership within the integration team, drives best practices, mentors junior engineers, and ensures scalable, secure, and maintainable API and integration solutions.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Mule Soft, API-led connectivity,enterprise integration patterns, and modern software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design scalable and reusable integration solutions usingAPI-led connectivity principles.
- Produce high-quality technical artifacts including solutiondesigns, sequence diagrams, API specifications, and integration patterns.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security,and governance standards.
- Review and challenge solution designs to improve scalability,performance, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain Mule Soft APIs, integrations, and reusable assets.
- Design and implement System, Process, and Experience APIs.
- Integrate with various technologies including:
- Mainframe systems
- Databases
- SFTP platforms
- REST/SOAP services
- Third-party vendor solutions
- Implement robust error handling, monitoring, logging, andobservability practices.
- Drive API reusability and standardization across domains.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior and intermediateengineers.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
- Guide the team on integration best practices and emerging technologies.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production incidents.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Mule Soft Certified Developer (preferred but not mandatory).
- Mule Soft Certified Integration Architect (advantageous).
- Relevant cloud certifications are advantageous.
- 6+ years software engineering experience.
- 4+ years enterprise integration experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise APIs.
- Experience integrating with legacy and modern platforms.
- Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.
