Senior Automation Engineer – Salesforce & Copado

Inspired Testing is looking for a highly skilled and technically driven Senior Automation Engineer with strong Salesforce and Copado experience to join our Quality Engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automation professional who is passionate about building robust automation solutions, improving software quality and contributing to successful Salesforce implementations and releases.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks across Salesforce applications, while leveraging Copado Dev Ops to support continuous testing, deployment validation and reliable software delivery.

We are looking for someone who combines strong hands‑on automation engineering expertise with a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, business processes, integrations and Dev Ops practices.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in complex enterprise environments, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and taking ownership of automation solutions from design through to delivery.

• Design, develop, implement and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for Salesforce applications.
• Build comprehensive automated regression, functional, integration, end‑to‑end and smoke test suites.
• Automate complex Salesforce business processes across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and applicable Salesforce products.
• Validate Salesforce Lightning Experience, Lightning Web Components, custom objects, Flows, validation rules and approval processes.
• Develop reusable, scalable and maintainable automation components.
• Ensure appropriate automation coverage across critical business workflows and Salesforce integrations.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes and resolve automation‑related issues.
• Continuously improve automation reliability, efficiency and execution speed.

• Utilise Copado Dev Ops to support Salesforce deployment and release management processes.
• Integrate automated testing into Copado pipelines and continuous delivery workflows.
• Implement automated quality checks and deployment validation processes.
• Support Salesforce release testing across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Developers and Dev Ops Engineers to resolve deployment‑related defects.
• Support version control, branching strategies and release management best practices.
• Contribute to improving deployment quality, stability and release confidence.

• Design and execute automated API tests for Salesforce integrations.
• Validate REST and SOAP API functionality, data exchange and system integrations.
• Perform backend data validation using SOQL and other appropriate techniques.
• Verify data integrity, business rules and integration workflows.
• Identify and investigate defects across interconnected systems.
• Develop reusable API automation utilities and validation scripts.

• Analyse business requirements and user stories to define appropriate automation coverage.
• Contribute to test strategies, automation planning and risk‑based testing approaches.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA engineers and other stakeholders.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide early and reliable quality feedback.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions and defect triage sessions.
• Provide clear reporting on test execution, defects, automation coverage and release readiness.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of automation standards.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers where required.
