• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications
• Lead complex technical initiatives from planning through to deployment
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to build customer-focused solutions
• Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs and integrations
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Optimise data models and database performance for high-volume transactional systems
• Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Contribute to deployment pipelines, infrastructure, and developer tooling
• Support production environments through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Mentor developers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development workflows where appropriate

• Education: Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field advantageous
• Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years' professional software development experience
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments
