Duties and Responsibilities:
Dispatch & Route Management
- Plan and dispatch all trucks daily, with schedules prepared in advance.
- Communicate dispatch changes promptly to drivers.
- Optimise routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to drivers.
- Maintain constant communication and address challenges proactively.
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Track vehicles using tracking systems and monitor cameras.
- Report incidents or accidents promptly.
- Fleet Maintenance, Tyre & Mechanical Management
- Oversee truck and trailer maintenance and tyre management.
- Manage mechanical issues and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure driver and vehicle licences are up to date.
- Maintain accurate transport-related records and reporting.
