Purpose of Role:
Responsible for the efficient running of all receiving, storage and outgoing warehouse processes and efficient use and scheduling of all resources to consistently meet the materials and logistics performance criteria and targets. Effective leadership of your team, engagement with management, fellow leaders and organizational customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Check daily supplier deliveries for goods to be moved from the Receiving Bay to the Warehouse through effective schedule of resources.
- Report any over/under supply of goods to buying department.
- Check daily Customer Deliveries Schedule for the picking of goods to be organized for goods to be moved to the Finished Goods Bay for effective scheduling of resources.
- Use the daily Customer Delivery Progress Reports as the basis for delivery scheduling.
- Use the daily Production Delivery Progress Reports as the basis for following up for the delivery scheduling.
- Use the Customer Due Date Schedule to Prioritize units in line with the Due Date reports and Delivery requirements.
- Prioritize defective and incomplete receipts, production or deliveries of components to eliminate delays to customers.
- Follow-up with Receiving Department and Production Supervisors on late deliveries from Production and schedule deliveries.
- Check that all goods loaded for the despatch to the various Customers and destinations align with the documentation and identification and that all sign-off has been conducted to SOP’s.
- All despatched goods documentation must be sent through to administration prior to shift-end.
- Monitor workday schedule and plan appropriate shift coverage to meet delivery targets.
- Analyse shift/daily handover information, receipts, picking and production reports to determine daily plan.
- Capture all stock & goods movement onto the Inventory Control System as and when processed and before shift end.
- Perform any other jobs as and when required.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- National Diploma in a Warehouse or Logistics field.
- 5 years’ experience in a related manufacturing operation and specifically warehousing and logistics.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- SAP or similar Inventory System
