Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Hightop Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our integrative, collaborative team. We provide advanced therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), ketamine infusions, and SPRAVATO®, along with comprehensive medication management and psychotherapy.

- Manageable patient volume: 11–12 patients per day (60‑minute initial consultations, 30‑minute follow‑ups)
- Competitive compensation models: $145k–$170k+

- Comprehensive Treatment Resistant Depression Program (TRD) training during onboarding
- Research‑driven practice with Phase II–IV studies in psychopharmacology
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat mental illnesses and disorders including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and comorbid substance misuse.
- Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans; regularly assess and document patient progress toward goals, adjusting plans as needed.
- Refer and supervise interventional treatments such as TMS, Esketamine (Spravato), and IV Ketamine; refer patients requiring intensive psychotherapy to IOP programming as indicated.
- Prescribe medications and monitor effectiveness, side effects, and patient preferences to develop an ideal pharmacological regimen.
- Provide support and education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists—to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize treatment effectiveness.
- Order medical work‑ups, laboratory assessments, diagnostic tests, and specialty consultations to integrate physical and mental health care.
- Review data from clinical outcome measurements and use objective results to modify treatment plans for maximum effectiveness.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Board‑Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient setting.
- Georgia state license and active DEA Board Certification.
- Experience with mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and crisis management in an outpatient setting.
- Experience working with Athena (EHR) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of utilization management principles to optimize patient care.
- In‑depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to collaborate and incorporate feedback from physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, timely records.
