Job Overview

. The position is available full‑time and part‑time, located in the clubhouse or other facility. A bartender prepares and serves both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, interacting with members and guests.
- Arrive well‑groomed, on time and dressed in the appropriate uniform.
- Quickly make drinks for members, serve food and make drinks for servers to serve to members/guests.
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks according to club specifications.
- Keep the bar stocked and clean while providing friendly and attentive service.
- Review and set up your section/events to ensure all glassware, alcohol and related items meet the standards of St Ives Country Club.
- Possess complete knowledge of the menus and answer any menu questions from members/guests with grace and respect.
- Gracefully present, open and serve bottles of wine professionally.
- Know and abide by all club policies and applicable state and local laws when serving alcohol.
- Communicate any issues with food service or dining to managers promptly.
- Follow club procedures for handling and storing food products safely and sanitarily.
- Assist with opening and closing duties for each shift and occasional dining set‑ups (buffets, displays, etc.).
- TREAT all members, guests and team members with respect.
- Bill member charges using the club’s point‑of‑sale system.
- Perform duties during events while standing, moving, bending, climbing stairs and carrying items weighing 25–70 pounds.
- Maintain good communication, follow directions efficiently and meet the physical demands of the job.
- Adhere to health and safety standards throughout each shift, including closing duties such as breaking down set‑ups.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
- Stand for long periods; walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or reach.
- Johns Creek Pouring Permit.
- TIPS Alcohol Certification (application provided upon employment).
- Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to fulfill assigned tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Availability to work weekends and major holidays.
