Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. This role is part of the On-Demand Team and offers a flexible schedule. As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you will create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Attendance and responsiveness to shift opportunities are essential.

If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. A Target Welcome orientation and short-term training are required if offered a position as an On-Demand TM.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital capabilities that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Deliver efficient and friendly service at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

Responsibilities and experiences for a Guest Advocate can include:

• Communicating with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
• Problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting various benefits and services and guiding guests to enrollment

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks to create a welcoming environment
• Assist guests with their specific needs in a welcoming manner
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests for shopping at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about brand launches, store activities and events
• Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services
• Show guests how to use Wallet and Target App features
• Handle returns following policies and escalate to leaders when needed
• De-escalate situations with leadership support when required
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Stock supplies during store hours and be available for guests
• Adhere to safety, ethical conduct, and compliance policies
• Support cash handling processes and cash office as needed
• All other duties based on business needs

• Handle cash register operations and cash office support as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, with occasional lifting up to 44 pounds
• Flexibility to pick up shifts to meet store needs
• Respond to shift opportunities and work at least one shift within 5 months or be administratively terminated
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions; stay mobile for the duration of a shift
