Senior Node JS Developer

Our client is a leading Logistics & Supply Chain organization, leveraging technology to optimize warehousing, transportation, and global trade operations.

They are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to architect and build high-performance backend systems powering mission-critical logistics applications.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling backend systems that enable real-time logistics operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions that integrate with transportation, warehouse, and order management systems.

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

Lead the migration and integration of logistics systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, 3PL, carrier APIs).

Optimize system performance to handle high transaction volumes and real-time tracking.

Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate with product owners, Dev Ops, and business teams to translate logistics requirements into technical solutions.

Ensure system security, compliance, and data integrity.

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

10+ years of overall software development experience, with 5+ years in Node.js backend development.

Solid experience in building scalable RESTful/Graph

QL APIs.

Hands-on experience with relational and No

SQL databases (Postgre

SQL, MySQL, Mongo

DB, Redis).

Experience with message brokers (Kafka, Rabbit

MQ, or AWS SQS) for asynchronous processing.

Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API integrations.

Familiarity with logistics or supply chain integrations (WMS, TMS, ERP, carrier APIs) is a strong plus.

Cloud expertise (AWS/GCP/Azure) with Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.

Ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and own solution delivery.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of real-time tracking, geolocation APIs, or IoT device integration.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Exposure to front-end technologies (React/Angular) for end-to-end collaboration.
