Forklift Operator – The Boat House Group

This position requires weekend hours and offers a coherent blend of professional and casual service as part of the Boat House family. The role involves operating a forklift to move, load, and position vessels and related equipment, while maintaining safety and organization on-site.

• Drive the company vehicle to tow boats to and from assigned locations, meeting deadlines while adhering to safety requirements.
• Ensure safe and proper operation for moving, blocking, and placement of vessels on the sales lot, service facility, and in water.
• Secure vessels to docks, seawalls, etc., as needed.
• Safely use slings and shackles to move vessels and equipment.
• Unload boats, motors, and trailers from delivery trucks upon arrival.
• Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to verify machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
• Keep the work area clean and presentable for customers.
• Operate the forklift and follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across business units.
• Attend all assigned meetings and follow company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience operating a forklift and performing basic vehicle procedures.
• Wamiliarity with safety protocols and equipment safety gear usage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and on weekends.
• Good teamwork and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with customers and staff.
