Teaching Assistant – Full Day, Full Year Program
Location: Johnson City, TN
Pay: $13.00 – $14.75/hr (based on education)
Schedule: Full-Time | ~35 hrs/week | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Join UETHDA as a Teaching Assistant in our Full Day Full Year program where learning, laughter, and love come together. You'll play a hands‑on role in nurturing and guiding preschoolers during one of the most important stages of their development.

What You’ll Do- Support children’s social-emotional growth with kindness and positive guidance
- Help create a safe, healthy, and engaging classroom environment
- Participate in classroom activities, home visits, and parent meetings
- Assist in observing and planning for each child’s developmental needs
- Help children on and off the bus and teach bus safety
- Keep accurate records, attend trainings, and collaborate with team members
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) within 2 years (we cover the cost!)
- 1 year of experience working with preschool-aged children
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Physical ability to interact with children and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid TN driver’s license
- Must meet TN DHS Day Care Center requirements
- $13.00/hr – High School Diploma
- Up to $14.75/hr – Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education/Development
