Job Details:

• Work 10-hour or 12-hour shifts depending on facility needs

• Occasional call and weekend coverage required

• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs

• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation included

• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases

• Must have 2 years of experience in General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma

• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, CNOR

• Experience with Epic charting system preferred

• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred

• First-time travelers accepted

• Must live 100 miles from facility

• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education

• Work with patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics

• 18 operating rooms available

• Patient ratio of 1:1 for all shifts

• Float assignments as needed

• Weekend coverage required

• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start

• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines

This medical center operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties. The facility features 18 operating rooms and offers advanced surgical capabilities including robotic surgery, cardiovascular procedures, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and pediatric procedures. The organization maintains state-of-the-art equipment and provides extensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
