• Educating local service providers on resources available to YYA experiencing homelessness.
• Connect with youth and young adult (YYA) providers, local schools, and other appropriate entities to recruit YYA for Youth Action Boards (YAB).
• Coordinate logistics, content, agendas and leadership for monthly YAB meetings.
• Work closely with the statewide YHSI working group to coordinate the statewide YAB project.
• Empower and support youth members in developing leadership skills, advocating for rights, and engaging in community outreach.
• Organize and/or lead educational workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to increase understanding and support for youth homelessness issues.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to YYA serving as YAB members, helping navigate challenges and access resources.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of local action board programs and activities.
• Work closely with local Coordinated Entry staff to ensure appropriate access is available for YYA.
• Serve as a liaison between local YABs, YHSI working groups, and local Continuum of Care (CoC) leadership.
