• Perform patient assessments; obtain patient medical and social histories, diagnostic testing, and take vital signs.
• Evaluate signs and symptoms.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Monitor and review patient care and treatment plans.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families in preventative care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments.
• Refer patients to physicians or other healthcare professionals/facilities as needed and monitor the outcome of the referral.
• Provide on‑call coverage for evenings and weekends as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Follow all organizational and governmental healthcare policies and procedures.

• For Nurse Practitioner:
  Bachelor’s degree in nursing and successful completion of a master‑level nurse practitioner program.
• For Physician Assistant:
  Graduate of an accredited PA program.

Three or more years of professional experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, ideally in the specific area.

• Registered Nurse licensure.
• ANCC certification as a nurse practitioner in a specialty area or PA.
