McLane Ford of Fredericksburg is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing, family-owned dealership in the heart of Texas Hill Country! We are looking for a motivated technician with a strong mechanical background who is Ford-certified and ready to step into a stable, long-term career.

Commute to Fredericksburg is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership standards

  • Test-drive vehicles and inspect components/systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including:

    • Engine

    • Transmission

    • Electrical steering

    • Suspension

    • Brakes

    • Air conditioning

    • And more

  • Communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor and provide time estimates for additional repairs

  • Execute warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • ASE Certification preferred

  • Ford Certification required

  • Prior experience at a Ford dealership strongly preferred

  • B-Level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to learn

  • Strong customer service skills and basic computer competency

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

  • Willingness to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and specs

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
