Child Serve Respite has a job for you! As a Weekend Group Respite Assistant, you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in a group setting. Services are provided at our Johnston Respite Center.
Schedule:
Flexible hours! Weekend shifts are available Friday through Sunday with 5 to 19 hours a weekend possible.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break
- Be creative while engaging children in activities
- Provide group services at the Johnston Respite Center
- Receive ongoing training and supervision
- Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing
What You’ll Need:
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply
- Those 18 and over must be willing to provide transportation as a Child Serve authorized driver, if required (including passing a motor vehicle record check, car safety check, and holding a valid driver’s license and insurance)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
