Summary

We are hiring an
Electrical Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team! This is a great opportunity for a Professional Engineer (P.E.) interested in contributing to a dynamic team and working on a wide range of projects. The Project Engineer II supports the design and delivery of municipal water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping, conveyance, and private industrial projects, including food and beverage manufacturing facilities.

In this role, you will contribute to the electrical design of facility systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, standby generation, fire alarm, and other special systems. You will work closely with Project Managers and a multidisciplinary team of engineers and professionals to develop practical, coordinated design solutions while continuing to grow your technical expertise and project responsibilities.

Independently completes assigned engineering design tasks using sound engineering judgment and established project requirements.

Supports the Project Manager in coordinating project activities, communicating design requirements, and tracking progress to meet project schedules and deliverables.

Performs electrical engineering design for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, standby generation, fire alarm, and other related systems.

Develops engineering calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and other project documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Coordinates electrical design with other engineering disciplines to support complete and constructible project designs.

Reviews assigned work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements, and assists with quality assurance and quality control reviews as needed.

Identifies potential technical challenges, design conflicts, and schedule concerns and works with the Project Manager and senior engineering staff to develop solutions.

Communicates with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders regarding design details and technical questions, as appropriate.

Assists with construction-phase services, including responding to contractor questions, reviewing submittals, and preparing design clarifications or revisions as needed.

Contributes to engineering services proposals and project planning by assisting with estimates of design effort, schedules, and related project needs.
