Position: ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Temporary Promotion)

IOWA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD - TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION

This position is open to current on‑board Title 5 and Title 32 employees of the Iowa Army National Guard. Military membership is required.

CSMS, Johnston, IA

Minimum Requirements

Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports.

Specialized Experience Requirements: WS-2602-11
  • Experience or training with basic application of operating principles such as the production and utilization of oscillations over a broad range of frequencies; signal and waveform behavior, distortion, and amplification; pulse, trigger, and synchronization techniques; digital/analog processing and data conversion techniques; and a variety of display and indication methods.
  • Experience in tracing signals and voltage paths, and skilled in the analysis of waveform characteristics such as timing, duration, frequency, and phasing. Originate test set‑ups to isolate malfunctions and check performance characteristics of special or unique test panels or mockups.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying a variety of technical electronic information such as schematic symbols, mathematical expressions and formulas, calibration procedures, and other reference materials.
  • Experience in applying established techniques and methods of repair, testing, alignment, and calibration of equipment, which serves as test equipment or precision measurement standards.
  • Experience in utilizing electronic circuits to measure electronic or electrical quantities to determine the performance characteristics and accuracy of other instruments and equipment.
  • Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.
  • Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function.
  • Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.
  • Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
