Mortgage Encompass Business Analyst

Job Title: Encompass Senior Business Analyst (Mortgage Practice Group)

Type: W2 Contract

The candidate we are looking for should have a thorough understanding of the product. This position’s primary responsibility will be to help enterprises achieve greater business connect, faster user acceptance, and shorter turnaround times & function as a key contributor in the team at different phases of the project including discovery, solution generation, design/architecture, and the detailing of the overall process.

The chosen candidate will be involved in the recommendation, configuration, evaluation, and deployment of high‑quality solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

• Configure and implement changes and enhancements to the Encompass 360 / Smart client platform.
• Discover and define the problem statement, evaluate solution options, and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with technical and cross‑functional teams to determine feasibility of changes.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and product prioritization meetings.
• Lead team design of technical solutions to meet business requirements covering mortgage origination process and interface design.
• Consult with and advocate to multiple business units on client side outside of project efforts.
• Identify people, process and system impacts of business objectives for all sizes of projects/teams.
• Act as a mentor to and resource for less experienced Business Analysts.
• Lead test planning of technical solutions and support testing by facilitating resolution of identified bugs.
• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Client’s Competencies and Information Protection requirements.
• Support Feasibility Studies and Business Cases for life cycle management and prioritization.
• Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals.
• Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market trends, user feedback and business requirements.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including engineering, design, sales, and customer support.
• Manage product backlog and track progress.
• Evaluate and analyze business requirements, elicit information and propose solutions.
• Manage on‑going communication and clarification of functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Create and manage solution requirements package, use cases/user stories, functional & non‑functional requirements, interface mock‑ups, process models, workflow storyboards.
• Maintain requirements traceability deliverables.
• Ensure application configuration changes have appropriate change management documentation.
• Evaluate solution proposals for technical merit and feasibility.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; will also consider three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT in the US Mortgage space with Encompass product knowledge/experience.
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh / Dallas / Los Angles or be willing to relocate to these locations.

• Hands‑on experience in Encompass Smart Client configuration.
• Excellent stakeholder management.
• Scrum master skills will be an add‑on.
• Ability to coordinate/work with offshore team on daily basis.
• Analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
• Understanding of business analysis activities, tasks, tools, and deliverables.
• Excellent communicator (oral and written) with technical understanding.
