Responsibilities- Provide overall CSC operational leadership by directing student transportation services, driver training and vehicle maintenance programs to support the operating plan and business goals.
- Promote and ensure safe, efficient and effective operations through staff leadership.
- Monitor staff training requirements, ensuring all employees attain the required skills and abilities.
- Set performance expectations, coach and counsel direct reports, and administer employee discipline as necessary.
- Ensure overall compliance with company policies and processes; escalation of violations to General Manager or Corporate personnel.
- Oversee compliance with state and district regulations.
- Attend meetings with School District Representatives and represent the company professionally.
- Prepare and submit required customer‑related reports in a timely manner.
- Document and manage customer or employee complaints and review customer survey data.
- Maintain knowledge of CSC contracts and operational requirements.
- Collect and audit employees’ time sheets; manage direct and indirect hours to meet budget requirements.
- Examine and review daily exception reports.
- Approve all expenditures in accord with company guidelines.
- Ensure effective utilization of vehicles.
- Exhibit the highest ethical practices and personal integrity; report suspicious or inappropriate behavior.
- Oversee vehicle routing optimization.
- High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- 5+ years of work experience required, with 3 years in the ground transportation industry preferred. Waivers: 1‑year supervisory experience or 2‑years of college education may substitute for experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred, specifically supervising and training a driver workforce.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and transportation‑related software.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Well‑developed multi‑tasking and time‑management skills.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements.
- Bilingual abilities an added advantage.
