DescriptionThe Engineering & Research (E&R) Department seeks a Program Manager who reports to the Staff SVP of Research and supports the overall E&R leadership and portfolio. The role involves managing medium and large initiatives to drive strategic outcomes, realizing value, and providing expertise in managing new project management processes, strategy development, and day‑to‑day project execution. The Program Manager coordinates with stakeholders to plan milestones, monitor and report progress, manage resources, dependencies, risk, and issues, and support change management as the department transitions to a new operating model.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401(k) with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay: $75 - $80/hr (W2)
Responsibilities- Project Leadership, Planning and Strategy
- Establish a robust program/project structure with clear ownership and accountability.
- Cultivate relationships with leadership and stakeholders to define, clarify, and control project scope, objectives, and resolve conflicts.
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project plans in Workfront, including timelines, detailed work breakdowns, and dependencies.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess benefit realization and project success.
- Partner with Finance Business Partner and Portfolio Program Manager to track and report project budgets and expenses.
- Oversee governance and structure of the department portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure effective execution of priorities.
- Provide regular transparent status reports on progress, changes, decisions needed, risks, or issues.
- Change Management
- Develop and implement an overall change strategy and plan for the new operating model.
- Lead change management activities focused on leadership enablement, training, communications, implementation planning, and resistance management.
- Gather feedback from impacted audiences to diagnose issues and inform corrective actions.
- Team Leadership and Coaching
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability within the project team.
- Lead, coach, and inspire project teams, fostering continuous improvement and psychological safety.
- Implement performance metrics to monitor team efficiency and project outcomes.
- Risk and Issue Management
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Drive processes to track, escalade, and resolve issues promptly.
- Develop and implement contingency plans.
- Evaluation and Project Transition
- Conduct post‑project evaluations and document lessons learned.
- Manage smooth closeout and transition to business, ensuring deliverables, documentation, and handover.
- Measure and report success of project execution and change adoption using analytics.
- 7–10 years of program and project management experience with multiple medium and large initiatives.
- 3–5 years of change management execution experience.
- Proven experience defining and implementing governance structures and processes.
- Ability to perform under pressure, managing high demand and tight deadlines.
- Skilled in developing comprehensive project plans using PM software (e.g., Workfront).
- Strong relationship‑building with leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s or MBA a plus. - Change Management Qualifications (e.g., ADKAR Certification) a plus.
- Experience in insurance industry, property loss prevention, or research a plus.
- Resourceful self‑starter who drives progress independently.
- Process‑oriented mindset to establish standardization.
- Ability to pivot between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
- Ability to hold people accountable without direct authority, using influence and collaboration.
