Practice Nurse

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Part‑time Practice Nurse to join our medical practice based at Ravenswood Surgery in Johnstone, Renfrewshire.

This vacancy is for 17 hours per week over 2 days (Monday and Wednesday) covering maternity leave, with a view to becoming a permanent member of our team. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Applicants must be NMC registered. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience in chronic disease management as well as having the ability to perform cervical screening, cover sexual health and contraception reviews, or would be willing to take training in these areas.

Independent Nurse prescribing would also be desirable but not essential.

Our Practice team consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 long‑term GP Locums, 2 Practice Nurses and an excellent admin team. We have Pharmacy Hub support 5 days a week, Phlebotomy cover, access to local treatment room and support from an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist, Community Link Worker and Community Wellbeing Nurse. We are a Vision/Docman Practice and our current list size is approximately 6500 patients.

We are based in renovated modern premises with on‑site parking and local amenities nearby – Starbucks and Morrison’s, with Johnstone town centre only a few minutes’ walk away. We are just off the A737 and a short commute from Glasgow – 20 minutes from the West End.
