Care Worker

Great care is about more than meeting practical needs. It's about helping people feel valued, respected and supported to live well. As a Care Worker, you'll build meaningful relationships with residents while supporting their independence, wellbeing and daily routines. Through kindness, encouragement and compassionate care, you'll help create a place where people feel safe, comfortable and at home.

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assist with meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
• Promote independence and encourage choice wherever possible
• Support residents to take part in activities and hobbies they enjoy
• Build trusted relationships with residents and their families
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
• Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of care

You will be compassionate, patient and committed to supporting older people to live well. You'll enjoy working as part of a team and understand the importance of person‑centred care. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We’re equally interested in people who share our values and want to make a positive difference in the lives of others. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.

This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.

• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health Care (or willingness to achieve)
• Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
• Christian faith and ability to work within and uphold our Christian ethos
