As a Care Worker, you'll build meaningful relationships with residents while supporting their independence, wellbeing and daily routines through kindness, encouragement and compassionate care.
What you will do
- Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Assist with meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
- Promote independence and encourage choice wherever possible
- Support residents to take part in activities and hobbies they enjoy
- Build trusted relationships with residents and their families
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
- Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of care
About you
You will be compassionate, patient and committed to supporting older people to live well, working as part of a team and understanding the importance of person‑centred care. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. Applicants should hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
Applicants must hold a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos, an occupational requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
