We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing business in Johnstone. This hands-on engineering role blends machinery maintenance, diagnostic fault-finding, and plant reliability management. We welcome applications from dedicated moulding experts or maintenance engineers with strong Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, or Extrusion Moulding experience. Moulding Line Maintenance:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair moulding machinery and all associated auxiliary production equipment. Fault Diagnosis:
Diagnose complex mechanical and/or electrical faults to eliminate recurring plant bottlenecks. Reliability Engineering:
Execute precise preventative maintenance schedules and assist with major machinery optimization and installation projects. Moulding Expertise:
Direct, hands-on experience within an Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, or Extrusion Moulding manufacturing site. Engineering Foundation: A solid mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance engineering background.
Qualifications:
Relevant, recognized engineering credentials. Flexibility:
Ability to adapt to a rotational shift pattern following completion of site competencies. Excellent overtime availability to maximize income. Genuine long-term career growth via a defined competency matrix leading to Level 3 and Chargehand operational roles.
Hours:
39 hours per week Overtime available - Shift Schedule & Premiums:
You will initially work on day shift for 2–3 weeks for familiarisation, before progressing onto the rotational pattern with 20% back shift and 33% night shift premiums:
Day
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm;
Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm. Back Shift (Rotation):
Monday–Wednesday, 11:30am – 10:00pm;
Thursday, 12:30pm – 10:00pm. (Occasional variant: Tuesday–Thursday, 11:30am – 10:00pm; Friday, 12:30pm – 10:00pm). Night Shift (Rotation):
Monday–Thursday, 9:50pm – 8:05am.
