The YMCA is seeking a School Age Associate Program Director. This position requires someone who has energy, a positive mindset and strong leadership skills to supervise, teach, nurture and encourage our staff and kiddos with a balance of empathy, accountability, role modeling and hands‑on work.

This is a year‑round, full‑time role, working Monday‑Friday hours varying from 6:45 am‑6:00 pm and the position continues through summer as full‑time day camp site director. Positions continue 40 hours a week through summer at one of our 15+ Day Camp Locations.

Salary: USD $20.00 – $25.00 /hr. • Work with Program Directors to manage, direct and coordinate program areas, ensuring high‑quality programs and establishing new program activities.
• Direct a before‑school site 3–4 mornings per week and an after‑school site 5 afternoons each week.
• Train, develop, schedule and direct personnel and volunteers as needed; develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations related to program areas and YMCA program standards and safety procedures.
• Inform Program Director of needed upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment; ensure the physical environment supports safety practices aligning with YMCA, Health Department and CDHS standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with school administration; check in weekly with office staff to communicate updates or concerns.
• Provide staff leadership for annual fundraising campaign and represent the YMCA at association special events.
• Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 21 years or older.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid, or willingness to become certified.
• At least one of the following:
  • A four‑year degree in a related field.
  • 48 semester hours of college credit AND 910 hours of experience in a licensed program since turning 18.
  • 5,640 hours of experience working directly with school‑age children with a group of 4 or more unrelated school‑age children.
