The production operator contributes to all phases of the production process, including operating automated equipment, diagnosing machine failures, assisting with preventive maintenance, and sanitizing equipment. Operators are expected to make production decisions concerning equipment pre‑flight and operation, be flexible to rotate job assignments, and maintain a safe work environment. Competency to perform activities affecting product safety, legality and quality is required.
PositionResponsibilities / Major Duties
- Check production work schedules, assignments and reporting time.
- If assigned as SCALER/DIVIDER OPERATOR:
- Maintain production schedule.
- Scale ingredients; load, operate and unload mixer(s).
- Operate dough pump, one‑pocket and six‑pocket dividers, rounder, overhead proofer.
- Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure area is clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.).
- If assigned as WRAPPING OPERATOR:
- Check production schedule and product running order.
- Check pan count sheet and wrap count sheet.
- Operate slicer, bagger and tier equipment.
- Perform quality control inspection of finished product.
- Ensure proper product loading.
- Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and preventive maintenance.
- Keep area clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- If assigned as PALLETIZER:
- Verify production schedule and program run.
- Verify pallets, slip sheets for quantity.

- Similar responsibilities apply to ROLL LINE OPERATOR, BOARD MONITOR, RETARD BOX MONITOR.

Preferred Qualifications
- Two years related bakery or production experience.

- High school diploma or equivalency.
