The major job duties of the Filling Prep/Operator consist of preparing glaze/ice/filling mixture, pumping mixture into a large mixing bowl to be boiled and blended, overseeing glaze/icing/filler operations and assisting in overseeing the Honey Bun Fryer to ensure a quality product. The employee records the number of batches and weights into the SAP computer program.

Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality, and quality.

• Prepare glaze/icing mixture by lifting four to six bags of ingredients from a pallet leveler that is spring loaded to keep ingredients lifted at approximately 36 inches in height. Slide the bag onto a 36‑inch high lift table, push the lift table to the level of the mixing kettle, raise the lift table to the highest level by pumping the lever on the lift table with the foot, lift the bag of ingredient and climb two stairs to position the bag onto the opening of the mixing kettle which is approximately 36 to 50 ¾ inches in height.
  
  Open the bag of ingredient with a bag opener and slide the upper end of the bag off the table into the opening of the mixing kettle, letting gravity help remove most of the ingredient. Empty remaining ingredient into the mixing kettle.
• Dip 12 to 25 pound of ingredient into a bucket along with 15 to 21 pounds of another ingredient and five pounds of another ingredient. Carry the bucket of ingredients up two steps, dump the bucket of ingredients into the same mixing kettle, completing the batch of glaze. One batch of glaze is completed every hour.
• Pump mixture into a large mixing bowl by operating a hand valve to pump glaze/icing/filler machine to ensure machine is operating efficiently so that quality product is maintained. After filling is prepared, use Load Hogg to push the filler trough a few feet to filler machine.
• Oversee Honey Bun Fryer by operating a hand valve to regulate grease pumped into the fryer. Oversee Honey Bun fryer to ensure proper temperature is maintained and the fryer is operating efficiently so that honey buns are fried properly.
• Operate within the parameters of the facility’s Security Program with regards to site and product security.
• Ensure that all internal food safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Global Food Safety Standards, HACCP, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

• One or more years of production experience as a helper and basic knowledge of mixer procedures.

• No educational prerequisite; however, must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to job.
