ResponsibilitiesMust be Serve Safe certified or previously certified and willing to recertify
Prior food management experience required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Can confidently handle issues that may arise regarding food safety and customer/staff concerns.
- Place orders for Ginna's Cafe to maintain proper stock of food and dry goods with minimal waste
Must be able to understand online scheduling programs and schedule Ginna's cafe to meet the needs of the Scheels business
- Perform all Ginna’s restaurant functions, which may include deli line, barista, ice cream, jerky, baked goods, fudge and other duties as assigned.
- Follow all food safety guidelines by State and Local Ordinances
- Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
- Assist in training all new associates on food handling and kitchen safety, mentor checklists and Standard Operating Guidelines
- Ensure cash control and till management is followed according to Scheels Cashier Guidelines.
- Manage and support side work, daily and detail cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures
- Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods
- Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers, vendors, and employees of the organization
- Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures.
- Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evening, weekends, and holidays.
This role requires 42-45 hours per week
.
The schedule will include up to 2 closing shifts (12:00 - 9:00) during the week, a set day off each week, and 9:00 - 5:00 for the remaining weekdays. Weekends will include a minimum of every other weekend. Saturday shifts will vary between 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Sundays 10:00 - 6:00.

The rate posted is a base hourly wage.
