Salary range: $16.50 – $18.50 per hour, based on experience. +10% differential for bilingual staff fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities and

Qualifications:

• Advocate for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and keep the Y's pool a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn, and build confidence in the water.
• Ensure the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub.
• General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, water testing, and general problem-solving.
• Relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, members, program participants, and children.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum age 16. If you are 15 please apply as a Junior Lifeguard.
• Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen, and CPR-PR Certifications.
• Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful.
• Blood Borne Pathogens certification within 30 days of being hired.
