Gastroenterology Physician

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to provide locum call coverage at its facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This urgent assignment offers an excellent opportunity to support an established team in a well-equipped, Level I Trauma Center environment.

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Facility: Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center LifePoint Health
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: October 31, 2025- future dates TBD
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient (both required)
Coverage Type: Call Only (Beeper Call)
Call Ratio: 1:7 Response Time: 30 minutes

• Dates: October , 2025

• Shift Type: Beeper call coverage for inpatient and outpatient consults

• Consult Volume: 5 10 inpatient consults per day (when on call)

• Privileges: Required (Emergency/Temporary privileges available)

• EMR: Epic

• Estimated Credentialing Time: 5 days

• Support Staff: No APP supervision required

Must be comfortable performing:

• Upper and lower GI endoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic)

• Biopsies, polypectomies, and PEG placements

• Esophageal dilatation and manometry

• Small bowel biopsy and sigmoidoscopy

• Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology (within 5 years of residency)

• BLS Certification

• Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact accepted)

• Must hold current hospital/surgery center privileges to obtain temporary privileges.

• Nearest Airports: Pittsburgh International (PIT) or Latrobe (LBE)

• Lodging: Provided by the hospital
