American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for an Open Heart surgical services position requiring proficient CABG, thoracic lung, and robotics skills at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

• Operating Room/Surgical Services unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• 22-bed unit serving all patient ages
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Common cases include Ortho, Gyne, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry procedures
• Uses Epic EHR
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7a-3p
• Weekday call required 3p-7a and weekend call 7a-7p Saturday and Sunday
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to main OR as needed

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI/HWC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Proficient/advanced skills in CABG (on and off pump), TAVR, open valve replacement, and thoracic lung surgery required
• Robotic lung surgery experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Must be willing to accept weekday and weekend call
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active and clear licensure verification via Nursys required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided
• Completed PA fingerprint clearances required prior to start, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance

• Provide surgical nursing care across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Work under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services and OR Nurse Manager
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Blue scrubs provided; no casual attire permitted
• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local rate available for candidates within that radius
• Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
