Mail & Print Services Associate Joliet, IL (onsite) 3+ Month Contract Job OverviewProvide customer-facing mail, print, and copy services in a campus environment. This role supports inbound and outbound USPS mail processing, walk-up customer service, and document production services for faculty, staff, and students. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks including prolonged walking and lifting. This is a temporary assignment covering a leave of absence, with an anticipated duration of 2–4 months.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess inbound and outbound USPS mail accurately and efficiently
Perform mail delivery and pickup along walking routes across campus and within campus buildings
Provide walk-up customer service support to faculty, staff, and students
Assist customers with mail, copy, and basic print service requests
Operate mail processing equipment, copiers, printers, and finishing equipment
Support print production tasks including printing, copying, scanning, and basic finishing
Ensure accurate sorting, distribution, and timely delivery of mail and packages
Maintain attention to detail while handling confidential and time-sensitive materials
Follow established procedures and take direction from supervisors
Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet daily service needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service center environment
High School Diploma or GED required
1–2 years of customer-facing experience or equivalent work experience
Experience in retail or restaurant environments strongly preferred
Previous mailroom, print, or copy center experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license and required auto insurance may be needed per Ricoh policy
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with diverse populations
Good PC and basic computer skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Basic math and filing skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
Team player with the ability to follow instructions
Ability to operate office machines and technical equipment
Work performed in an office and campus environment
Requires prolonged standing and walking between buildings
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50–55 lbs
Ability to push or pull equipment on wheels when required
Moderate dexterity using hand tools, keyboards, calculators, and office equipment
