Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Shorewood Overview

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a full‑time Automotive Detailer.

The starting rate of pay is $16.50 per hour based on a 40‑hour work week and the position is located at 18622 S State Route 59 C-1 Shorewood, IL 60431.

The Schedule Available Is

  • Monday: 7:00 am‑6:30 pm
  • Thursday: 7:00 am‑6:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:00 am‑6:30 pm
  • Saturday: 7:00 am‑1:00 pm

You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles—cars, trucks, and vans—to meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities
  • Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry‑standard protocols.
  • Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks.
  • Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place valuables in Lost & Found; verify registration is current and matches license plate.
  • Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage.
  • Fuel and stage vehicle.
  • Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or damage; pull vehicle out of the prep processing as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair and odors.
  • Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from the branches.
  • Help maintain overall site appearance—including general cleaning of interior and exterior of branch locations.
  • Responsibilities for site appearance include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot and any other miscellaneous tasks related to daily cleanliness of the branch location.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Seek to improve job performance through self‑assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than one moving violation and/or at‑fault accident on driving record in the past three years.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have 12 consecutive months of work/organizational experience.
